Hey there, I'm Ashleigh

As entrepreneurs, we have so many demands on our time that it can be a struggle to keep on track. Staying ahead in your business can be the key to success, and it all boils down to efficiency. The secret sauce to unlocking your productivity is to enhance efficiency with batch tasking.

Batch tasking is all about grouping similar tasks together and tackling them in chunks. This approach leads to better efficiency because it allows you to work on similar tasks, one after another, which reduces the mental effort needed. When you enhance efficiency with batch tasking, you streamline your workflow and boost productivity.

Reduce Task Switching

It’s often cited that it takes our brains about 23 minutes and 15 seconds to fully switch from one task to another, also known as the task-switching cost. This refers to the additional time and mental effort required to switch between tasks compared to focusing on one task continuously.

When your brain switches tasks, it needs time to disengage from the previous task, refocus on the new one, and regain concentration. Enhancing efficiency with batch tasking helps you reduce the time spent on context switching, saving valuable minutes throughout the day that can add up to hours over time.

Reduce Stress

By embracing batch tasking, you’ll see reduced stress levels, improvements in your work habits, and benefits to your overall well-being. Setting aside dedicated time blocks for specific tasks reduces overwhelm and stress. You’ll be less likely to experience burnout and maintain a sustainable pace in your business. When you enhance efficiency with batch tasking, you create a more balanced and productive work environment.

Mindset Shift

If you have experience in the corporate world, this approach can feel drastically different from what you’ve been taught. Switching to this approach requires a mindset shift and dedication to improving your overall efficiency. Shifting from a scattered mindset where you’re constantly juggling multiple tasks at once to a more focused one can greatly enhance efficiency with batch tasking.

To adjust your mindset, try eliminating distractions. Create a parking lot or space to jot down ideas that you want to revisit after your focus time. Set clear goals when you sit down to work. It’s easy to slip into old habits, but refocusing and implementing these steps will help you get back on track.

Implementing Batch Tasking

When you work to enhance efficiency with batch tasking, the way you work will fundamentally change. Instead of coming up with content on a daily basis, you’ll shift to creating a week’s worth or even a month’s worth of content at a time. During your focus time, create all of the posts and graphics. In the next focus time, create the captions. Then, gather all of the hashtags and schedule your content in the following focus time.

The key here is to keep each focus time dedicated to the same task to avoid the task switching cost. Scheduling your tasks this way also helps you avoid constant interruptions and gets you into a creative flow, saving you even more time. Consistency is key to making batch tasking work for you and your business.

Implementing a schedule can help you stay on track and ensure that you know exactly what you’re working on and when. Enhancing efficiency with batch tasking can truly help you break through the chaos of your day so you can start to thrive.

Hey there, I'm Ashleigh

I know what it’s like to carry a God-given vision while trying to figure out how to make the business behind it actually work.

As your business grows, so does everything happening behind the scenes. More clients. More responsibilities. More moving pieces. More things to remember.

Eventually, the way you’ve been running your business starts making everything harder than it needs to be.

Not because you aren’t capable—but because the systems and processes that got you here may not be enough for where you’re going next.

I believe part of faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to us is being intentional about how we build—creating systems that support the business, the people we serve, and the life we’re called to live.

That’s where I come in.

I help you untangle messy processes, simplify what’s become too complicated, and build systems that make your business easier to run.

Because the goal isn’t just a business that grows.

It’s a business that works.

Wife, boy mom, Christian business owner, and convinced that the right systems can make business a whole lot easier to run.
